After hearing of Lindsay and Shay Hayes' dream of becoming parents, a young woman contacted them on the morning of September 15th, 2018, to discuss her choice of adoption regarding her unexpected pregnancy. To everyone's surprise, Theodore (meaning "Gift of God") was born later that same day, almost three weeks earlier than expected. "
Shay and Lindsay awoke that Saturday morning without knowing they would be parents by the end of the day. It took one call to Charis Center to have food, a car seat, parenting videos and books, clothes, and blankets arrive at the hospital room where they were staying. The love and support Charis Center provided during (and even weeks after) this exciting yet overwhelming time was invaluable.
With a mission to build community and culture around a great cup of coffee, Viridian Coffee is committed to helping organizations like Charis Center to ensure those experiencing an unexpected pregnancy receive the support they need, along with a complete understanding of all the options available to them.
